lcc014
My 95 wagon's fan blower motor start acting strange today. Climate control is the basic/manual. When I started the car, it did not come on no matter which setting was 1, 2, 3 or 4. So I left fan speed at 3 and drove off. Once I got onto highway, the fan came back on by itself. In other word, when I accelerated my car above 40 mph, it came on again. This behavior happened about 50%. Once it was on, it will stay on until I turned off the car. Next time to start the car, fan may or may not come on. Any comment on this behavoir ? The fan resistor was replaced about 2 years ago. So that should be fine (hopefully). r850glt
Check Power connections by the fan, I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I would hit a bump in the road and fan would go out and then come back on. Could also be switch. Try pulling codes.
BEJinFBK
I'm betting that you need a new motor. High speeds move air through the system and your's is probably marginal and getting a little "push" start. Dry bearings?
lcc014
Thanks for all the responses. Motor was squeaking for a while before last winter. So I would expect the dry bearings suggestion.
