Finally got the carb on the xr dialed in right and I've been tooling around on that regularly .   In August I'm driving out to Colorado to pick up a 2005 crf450x. It belongs to a friend of mine that doesn't have the height for it.   40 hours on it.  Aside from replacing the valves I'm probably going to supermoto it.

I used to keep a small 2x4 section in my bag before I cut up and sanded a much smaller piece of wood for a kickstand platform. Some day I'll get around to welding a bigger platform on.

I need to get a decent picture of my TTR250, but been out riding a few times. Just put new tires on it this weekend and I'm still cherishing the difference. It goes where I point it, and mud crossing are so much less work. Being a dirt noob, I love the lazy torque this thing delivers. Bit of a whale though.

It's too big, too slow or too heavy?  What tires did you put on it?

A co-worker has a Super Sherpa that I took for a spin the other day.  I was surprised how zippy it was for a 250.  He wanted to ride my XR but he's only 5'4" and couldn't climb up on it.

Heavy. 264lb dry, and I'm riding trails with it, not fire roads. It isn't the fastest - it falls on it's face in the top end. But has more on tap than I have skill right now. Bit of lag getting the power to come on too. The suspension feels terrible (esp. the front), but I've read its supposed to be decent so I'm thinking it's adjusted all wrong. I hope to tweak it next time I ride.

Bridgestone M59 front, and Pirelli MT 16 rear. The selection was a recommendation as being good for the New England woods.
