Grey trim. Interesting. Did you do the roof trim as well?

yes, oem gray...by the code just like sonic blue paint ....yes , roof trim as well...it's the rare kind that's a thick solid aluminium that is painted same trim oem gray not coated with black plastic...only seen 2 in 10 years in JY's.

Ohhhhhhhh that looks so good.

I am so glad you decided to keep all the trims and mouldings grey too. Good stuff!

thank RBoy8.

In case you were considering going black on the trim. Best look IMO. Or you could just look at my car. haha

Are you sure it's not just stripped down and painted? It should have been like that from the factory anyway. Looks real good with the spoiler now.

i am 100% that it is not....most walking around junk yard could not tell and would ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD-ume it is strip down painted , but i noticed it first about 6 years ago right off the bat with my 20/15 vision... ;)

I see there the gasket material at the top of the windshield is missing, yes? Makes sense Goes a replacement just press in?

Did you do this at the back window as well?

observant young man , and that is why they must call you commander...back one , i just used pole-whacker wire and showed it under so the paint will get in there and after I simply pull it out ...which was over-sprayed and is a shame since that is so easy to mask offed once lifted ...front , in 850 area they used plastic channel that was 3m doubled taped , which after about 10 years easily cracked do to a poorly french shiaty plastic mixing, just like the entire dash does...so i cleaned that off and had it repainted , so you can get a cheap azz insert that tapes down from an auto-glass place which I dont care for or get one of an s80, which is about as wide as 850 windshield and use it if your windshield is out , but in my case i chopped the lip channel that hold it in and use 3m window weld to hold it in and if i ever remove the windshield I will cut it out of the channel .

below ...braking in the paint and tool I use to cut the channel aaaand regular s80 windshield trim vs my cut one and how it will look at the end with an oem Volvo s80 product..lol...anything else?

so here it is in daylight all done...I still have to do couple more minor things...get 2 fender trim clips, install windshield upper weather strip, take it back to have the spoiler buffed and couple of handles and wash out the buffing compound here and there but for now I got to get to my s60r exhaust housing 20g waste-gate boring out the for now.

came out pretty nice to me.

Awesome! And even more props for doing it the right way and painting the entire thing - leaving the trim etc.

Any connection to the license plate surround? that's a soar thumb to me...

Love the no R bumber too and 960 lip! Great work!
