Oreo931
What did u use to secure it to the dash?
dougy
did not do it yet,it will be either 100% black silicone but most likely if my 3m windshield weld did not dry up it will be that. what did you have in mind to use on yours? Oreo931
Currently using 3m double stick tape but it's not a perfect solution so I'm looking for alternatives.
dougy
yeah i would not use that...window weld should work perfect cause if you spread a nice even bead throughout and once dry it will actually hold it all together especially at spots that would chip off and would be loose, but it would be messy to apply and if you mess up well it will look horrid. dougy
as requested, here is how i secured it. with 3m windo-weld look right under R....left this part on each side of the trim piece without applying the 3m so I could hold on to it as I placed it in its resting spot... I filled the short channel indentations on the dash with 3M...and I put on more on those two sections that I did not put on the 3M WIDO-WELD trim piece left for me to hold it. product and all done

Aequitas_Veritas
Anyone want to sell me their window piece? I was 2nd in line with survolvo.
dougy
Very nice. Thanks for the update and pictorial. thanks and not a problem. also a note, now that it is permanently glued to the upper dash, it does not screech as it did before...it actually helped that as well and not just the appearance.
