hgray14
How does one go about upgrading a 2005 XC70's head unit to an aftermarket unit with bluetooth for the cell phone? Also, what speakers do people swap out for what's already in there?
JoshV70
A Grom adapter works very well with the OEM headunit.
hgray14
Awesome; thanks! The sound seems a bit weak in this car - can I assume a speaker upgrade is the ticket and that the head unit is good enough? Thanks
JoshV70
Which OEM headunit do you have? HU-650?
hgray14
Good question - not sure. Will have numbers on the face or do I need to check the VIN or something like that?
JoshV70
Good question - not sure. Will have numbers on the face or do I need to check the VIN or something like that? It should be noted on the bottom right of the headunit face.
hgray14
Thanks, I know, dumb question but the wife has had the car every day and I didn't want to bother calling her unless it was going to be easy to figure out. She said no markings and when I double checked, sure enough, no stereo type identifications. If not the HU-650 is there just one other option of what it might be, or many? I'll try to post a picture later.
