louis_m_c
Hello, I Just bough a Pioneer AVIC-7000NEX, a huge beast I soldered most of the wires for the harness but there is still some wires... First, there is the purple/white one witch should connect to the reverse gear signal wire (where is this one !?!?!) for the rear view camera. Second the pink one used for navigation system to better estimate your position while in movement using the car's wheel speed. It should go to the car speed signal input (where is it !?!?!) Third the green wire connecting to the parking brake switch (to prevent film and GPS (?stupid?) navigation to be used without parking brake on. What is the easiest way o bypass this? thanks
VolvoNor
First off, what car is it? Purple/white was tapped into the reverse light wire on my V70 Pink, I have no idea. Green wire you can just connect to ground to bypass this

What is the easiest way o bypass this? Oftentimes with GPS-enabled devices you can't bypass the parking brake switch - for example, my AVIC-F700BT (older Pioneer unit) won't allow you to operate it while it detects the vehicle is in motion. I was able to modify the software that controls this speed lockout to permanently bypass the parking brake signal input. Most Pioneer AVIC units have very good support forums and they should have the answer to your question.

Yeah I found the answer about the hand brake on AVIC411.com Still I don't know where to connect the pink wire for speed or the purple for reverse. This is a volvo related question, not a pioneer one.
