rusheR
I was looking for a replacement for my wagon for a while now, and I wanted P2 wagon first, but I had a chance to pick up a pretty epic set of wheels, BBS e50s. Very light, magnesium, racing wheels. My worthy match? -Lo and behold - 1995 Volvo 850 Turdo, aka Project 95.There are several reasons why I got this, base 850 ( what is it btw? it's not even GLT, I think). I'm not going to keep it for a while, so I wanted something cheap. I needed auto, as we are going on a 4200 miles trip right after IPD garage sale, and I'm not the only driver, and non turbo is good to get a better millage for same reason. The thing is super sketchy to drive, brakes and suspension are first on the list to do.I've started ordering some parts, and I received eBay camber plates and TA- technix straight from UK few days ago. I have lightly used front pads and rotors from my VR, and I'm just waiting on rear brakes to install it alltogether. I'll be using D2 I have in the back , so if anybody want rear TA technix setup- hit me up. $120 + shippingInterior is basic- cloth seats and no dash trim, I would love to get my hands on tan R interior one day. I will be swapping to '93 front end tooI had to go to Tacoma , and I borrowed a fender roller from Eric while I was there. Rolled my fenders couple days ago. So it's still a hardly drivable POS, but fenders are rolled haha Also test fitted E50s So that's the beginning of my all show , no go project, and there's nothing really to show yet, so there's tons of work ahead

rusheR
Started replacing shocks and struts on Friday, while waiting for a package from IPD. It looked like driver side is still all original and was a bitch to remove.Stock height with a glorious hubcapPassenger looked like it had some recent work done and newer IPD endlink, just on that side TA Technix vs old rusty strutCamber plates mounted Had D2 endlinks, so on they go.Hell yeah, much betterRears were a breeze On Sunday decided to put my old front brakes from VRafter caliper bolts been soaking all Saturday, and realized that they are 305 only when my 15" steellies wouldn't fit. (paste "I'm retard' emoticon here), so now I have to find some wheels for the time while have to refinish e50sBoth rotors and pads look hardly used, so I got that going for me, which is nice Also installed load bars I picked up at PNP earlier, much better that stripped aluminum weather stripsGot the first part of the package from IPd at noon, and than the one with rear brake parts at 3, both shipped through USPS. At the same time. Wth USPS?So finished the brake job earlier tonight. Rear brakes were surely crusty hahaI'm probably going to Cali tomorrow, so I'll have to finish it later when I come back. Tune up, wiring fog lights and CB is on the agenda. Also maybe picking up tan VR seats in Cali. Excited about that. It is a pretty much plug in, even though my 850 has manual seats, right? gilber33
No, if you have manual seats now you'll have to run power to the seats. Sometimes they are prewired, sometimes they are not. I've had one of each.
Tommy.
Good seeing you bring this back to life with fresh goodies. Interested to see your CB setup.
rusheR
Good seeing you bring this back to life with fresh goodies. Interested to see your CB setup. I still have to figure it out myself, my CB is conventional size, not the one of those tiny UnidensNo, if you have manual seats now you'll have to run power to the seats. Sometimes they are prewired, sometimes they are not. I've had one of each. I didn't see any loose wires there, so I guess my's not. What would be the closest power there, cigarette lighter? I didn't have much choice, as e50s are not ready to go on, so I picked up $50 set of 205/55/16 and mounted 'em on these guysHopefully they'll last another 4KI'll probably raise it some before the trip. Can I just swap out ecu to NA M4.4, and is there any benefit ? Any other cheap or free "mods" that can be done to NA?

Rears are more sturdy, but not as bad as on 240, actually I like it better than the fronts that tend to wobble while you trying to roll them. Wheels are 16x7.5 and 8 in the back. I'm not sure about the offset, I never measured them, but looks to be around 20.

How many miles on it?Thanks Jared, it had 158K on odo when I got it.
