Well played Sir. Project is coming out great , and that interior job is top notch

Thanks man! Should look even better all done.

Found a guy making short centercaps replicas for Epsilons. Ordered those. Also I might be trading my 5.5" barrels for 7" ones

Not much happened since October, the car was running great but rear driver side caliper seized, for the second time,  in February which I decided to replace together with hard line that I successfully stripped the fitting on

And now the exciting part - finally started '93 front end swap last week. I've been collecting all the parts for a while now and dropped 'em off at paintshop last Monday. So,naturally, 93 front bumper and skinny headlight moldings, also my original hood, v70 sideskirts, clean rear bumper and spoiler.

In the meantime I did install the bigass 93 headlights and new corner lights from Korea.

I got headlight housings from Junkyard and used new glass from eBay seller in Lithuania. While I had lights apart I reinstalled inner wiring from newer light and epoxied a plug on the back of the housing. On the 93 lights wiring goes straight to the bulb through the twist on cover.

Then drilled a hole and epoxied a little wedge bulb in the side of the reflector to use as a city lights. Always liked that look on VWs

I did wire my low beam to that and highs as low beam

Did some weight reduction- junked headlight wiper motors then relocated the horns( so much room for activities on NA cars), trimmed the brackets and painted whole rad support. Decided to move DTC box under the fender to clean up underhood a bit, did that and wired repeaters while there. I will be ditching all AC system and tucking and just cleaning engine bay next. Much easier on non turbo cars

Just waiting now for body panels to put it all back together

And my two on the cold morning

Looking good!

I've seen a 93 850 wagon driving around once, had to do a double take.

The big lights look cool on 850s.

Thanks. I would kill for 93 rear wagon bumper

Received some NOS Bosch Pilot fogs. Really wanted to find Volvo OEM Bosch lights, but those few I've seen on eBay went for over $300

These have Bosch logo on covers. I just might put Volvo decals on those later myself

Still not sure where I want to mount those, thoughts?

As previously said there are some 1993 850 estates. They are "rare" as they were prouced only for a limited amout of time before the 94- model year began. According to Volvo production started in february 1993 which gives a timefrime of around 4 months. They have all the old design features: 700/900 series inspired switch gear, different dashboard, different A/C, ventilated and filtered ECU box and ofcourse 4 bolt lug pattern.

Front fog lamps for -93 850 with lower front spoiler:

#9134838 (RH) requires anchorage #9134199 and #9134592

#9134837 (LH) requires anchorage #9134198 and #9134591

Reproduction -93 foglamps are available. Unless it has to be an OEM one from Bosch you could buy one for around 75$ + shipping.

Pictures to show the visual differences:

That's news to me.  Just like Greg, I thought we didn't get any prefacelift 850 wagons in the states

Stopped by the bodyshop and everything is right where I left it. I'm going to California for a week and they promised it to be ready by the time I'm back
