I can help with providing service records if that will help with the sale

looks like aftermarket headlights too

The only time I have ever repped Kevin up.

Rep in action. A member offers help (because he can get those records through his job), another member who isn't too liberal with rep uses it.

According to Urban Dictionary, Keener is Canadian slang. I think that's the first time I've heard it used too. IIRC, that guy's a traitor and married a Canadian. Anyway, just focus on being a good person, good member of the internets. Help other people, don't expect to be spoonfed, and know when to let someone more knowledgeable take the lead. It's too variable to focus on the small stuff, focus on big picture.

I like to give people shit for, among other things, starting stupid ass threads about pointless shit.

That seems to work for me.

Are you seriously crying about -4?

Shit Howard would be glad if he made it a day with out getting -4 on every post.

Grow a sack.

I actively try to farm -1's, so I don't count.

dude i've got one of the WORST reps on here..  been suspended i dont know how many times.

i never cared. never bugged me that ppl gang up on ppl either lol..

i see pics from carlisle and other meets of the ppl that i've had dealings with and just *laugh.. i see them and it makes TOTAL sense (interpret that how you like).

i've also had really cool dealings with ppl (andy, bmac, greekone, etc) and a wealth of knowledge as my T-5R was my first turbo car!

my advice is to worry less about what ppl think and your popularity and more about this site as a learning tool from other ppl's experiences and discoveries..  who knows - you may make some of your own to share bro.

dont get caught up in the neg'd b.s. -- it means nothing =)

You say you don't have time to "spoon feed" me, yet you have time to find a thread from months ago, quoting me on something I've completely forgot about.

Not tryin to sound like (too much) of a dick, but I feel like you were a little harsh for a simple question (which was barely answered)

You better get used to replies like this.  It is the VS way.

Like I said, it's no big deal, it is jus the internet.  I'm just trying to find out why so many people are disliking what I'm doing...makes me think I'm doing something wrong.

And @andyb5, I appreciate the honesty, but what you said is kind of dumb in itself.  You say you don't have time to "spoon feed" me, yet you have time to find a thread from months ago, quoting me on something I've completely forgot about.  And speaking of time, not everyone has the time to do research for hours on end, for a hobby/everyday driver.  The use of a forum is to gain knowledge of some sort, and if a quick search yields no answers, than I'll turn here and ask away.

Not tryin to sound like (too much) of a dick, but I feel like you were a little harsh for a simple question (which was barely answered)

I spent a couple minutes on my lunch break reading through your past threads to see what got you negged.  It took me all of 30 seconds to realize why I had negged you.  If you read that thread I linked, on page 2 I did provide you with several useful threads on NA cams and cam timing.

I didn't attempt to answer your question about how others use the rep system, the posts above me had already covered that fairly well.  I instead chose to tell you why I personally negged you; which lent a different perspective to the thread.

And don't worry, you're not unique in this situation.  There are plenty of members on here who I personally think could spend some more time searching/reading instead of posting.  I have no problem answering questions or helping someone figure out a problem, instead of just telling someone to search; but make it seem like you at least have some concept of what you're talking about before posting and I (and probably many others) will have far more patience and interest in helping you mod your car and learn about what you're doing.

Shit man, I've told my friends this stuff face-to-face in our shop before.  I'm happy to help in whatever capacity I can, probably pass along my (oftentimes sarcastic) 2 cents, but I'm not going to do all the work for you; you have to make an effort as well.
