Tommy.
Forgot to mention said black family member "PaPa" had a confederate flag on his porch. Poor bastard is so old he doesn't know he is supposed to be offended by that. So good I had to quote so it could never be lost in future archiving of VS. S8ET6
So good I had to quote so it could never be lost in future archiving of VS. So irrelevant that I had to quote the original post to bring us back on topic:Just curious what others thoughts on the rebel flag are. I've heard good points from both sides, and I personally never really considered it treasonous or aimed towards hatred, but I'm also a white guy from MI and I'm not always the most sensitive person in the world (I think PC is retarded and gay). To me it was always the flag on the roof of the General Lee in the Dukes Of Hazzard, but that's what I grew up with and never really considered it's roots.Any African Americans here that live in the south? I'd love your feedback. And be completely honest... did the confederate flag bother you prior to the media's recent stirring of the shit-pot?I also had to quote the 2nd post in this thread from Fivex84:I don't really care either way on the flag. None of the black people (they are not from Africa, they are from America) in my family care either way about the flag either. My question would be... who takes the "media" seriously? P.S. Being PC is for libtard tumblr pussies. Based on his trolling efforts since then, I guess that he actually does care one way or the other...Fivex84, have you been paying attention to the political debate surrounding the flag? The conversation is whether or not the confederate flag should fly over Government Property. See, there's this concept called "taxation", where people give the Government part of their income. And some of those "taxes" are used to maintain public property - including the property where the flag is flying. Apparently some alot of people don't want their tax money paying to maintain this flag - hence the chants to "take down the flag."No one (to my knowledge) has said that the flag should not be allowed to fly on private property. So what's the point that you're trying to make with the pictures you've posted?Better yet - now that you do seem to care - what do you suggest the State of SC do with the confederate flag? There's more to it than just the political debate and plenty have said it can't fly off government property, like NASCAR telling people they can't fly it, Walmart (that pillar of equality and integrity in America that they are) pulling it from their shelves, TV Land cancelling the Dukes of Hazzard because of the General Lee's roof, and many others... there's more to this subject than flying it on government property. A guy in the city I work in here in MI was told by the city he had to remove it from his yard, that guy now has 5 of them in his front yard (and good for him). And just for curiosity's sake, where do the 2 posts you quoted substantiate anything you claimed about this thread going off topic?
S8ET6
LOL, 9 pages in and I'm just now understanding the context of your original post.I don't care what is done with it on private property (and neither do most of the people that I have spoken too).I also don't care who decides to sell it and who decides to stop selling it. JOHN_CENA
who gives a shit about a flag? This thread is vaginasThere is more important shit to worry aboutNamely, the Trans Pacific PartnershipWhile everyone is crying about supporting / not supporting a flag, our shitty gubment is negotiating economic agreements with stipulations like this: "...an increased price of medical drugs due to patent extensions, it claims, could threaten millions of lives, extending “data exclusivity” provisions would "prevent drug regulatory agencies like the Food and Drug Administration from registering a generic version of a drug for a certain number of years", the international tribunals that can require corporations be paid compensation for any lost profits found to result from a nation's regulations could interfere with domestic health policy."Scary shit. And everyone is worried about a damn flag.
