Geevs
Recently when starting the car, it would crank once and then "catch" but stall. I would try again and same thing. So I would wait a few minutes before trying again and the car would start as normal on the first crank.I notice this happens only when I go on a few short trips doing errands in very hot weather. Was wondering if the heat is affecting the starter? Or if this is a sign of a starter on its way out? Thanks.
Rod'sT-5
Recently when starting the car, it would crank once and then "catch" but stall. When you say "catch" but stall, it sounds like you mean the engine starts running, then stalls. Correct? The job of the starter is only to spin the motor. Whether the motor stays running or not, has nothing to do with them starterSomething else is making it stall..
tjwasiak
IMHO your starter is just worn. I think that engine is not starting, it just starts to spin and than stops before engine starts...
