What's up NWC, it's been quite a while sine I've been on here and I'm curious if anyone is still chatting here. I don't know who it was I saw earlier today on Everett Mall way, but they gave me deuces, but didn't react quick enough, my bad. But it made me think of my Volvo NWC peeps. Anyways, hope everyone is well and hope to hear some responses.

not yet..

Yeah, I kinda wondered the same thing; this place (pac nw) is crawling with volvos on the street but i see very few meets and no local clubs that i know of...  Sometimes i think people don't want to talk to each other around here.. just keep your head down and go about your business..

someone let know if I'm wrong..

I guess some of us just don't get the word out enough.  Several times during the summer I worked with some other south Sound owners to meet for breakfast in Tacoma, but those arrangements were usually made on Facebook.  Anyone who wants to meet up, or meet more of the quiet locals, just get in touch with me.  Seems there's something happening at my house at least one weekend a month.  Downside is, my house is in Bremerton.

Thanks for the replies guys. I remember talking with Goldponcho a few times, I haven't met Gdog, but good to meet you. I agree, there are some nice Volvo's around here and there used to be a good bunch of events a few years back with like George, Danny, Spencer, Carson, Mitch, Steve, Brian and a few others. I guess everyone moved on from Volvo's or have new pages in their lives where they don't have the time. I know for me, it's been tough getting together with the NWC because of family, work and USCG Reserves. True what GP said; getting the word out for events is key and usually someone would lead these meetings on the forum and it would go from there.

Well, I haven't met you guys formally so I'll go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Mike and been on the forum since 2007 and got more into Volvo's because of Volvospeed. I have a 1998 V70 T-5 in 601 Red, 18T, angled flange, 3" DP to stock exhaust, running ARD Blue tune, IPD sways, Bilstein touring shocks, Eibach springs, H&R spacers, 17" Ti pegs, C70 Jewels/corners, XC grill and debadged tailgate. I have not done anything major since 2012, just been driving. Would like to do coilovers and upgrade to aftermarket exhaust, but been too busy and need to get some cash for those items.

Anyways, I know the NWC used to do the toy run for Xmas and do XXX for the Swedish meet at Issaquah in February. Maybe one of those could be the beginning of some events for the local NWC

I'm still here just busy working on the 787. What was the car the driver had the gave you deuces? The Toy run is still happening I know a hand full of us usually go every year and XXX for the Swedish meet is up in the air because i think VOCA isn't hosting it so someone else has to schedule it (correct if I'm wrong).

I'm usually at the IPD open house in May; that's pretty cool.  maybe us VS'ers should wear name tags or something (uh, probably not..).    On the topic of ipd, anyone else notice that they're carrying less and less basic parts?  My door check/brake broke the other day; thought i would run over there to pick one up; they don't even carry them any more for the 850; i know they used to..

Other than that I'm not aware of any regular volvo meets or groups in the area.  Bremerton is a bit of a drive but could possibly make it if I get some notice..

If anything local is happening post here or in the members section; feel free to pm me too.

sorry, don't/won't do FB..

Some of us are still around.  :)

Nice to see you're still on the forum. I need to call you up and see how the V70 is going, it's been a few months since we last talked. Nice hearing from you George . Does Brian, Danny or the other peeps from a wayback still pop onto VS?

It was a V90, dark color had a few stickers on it.  Good to see you are still on 787 up in Everett, I'm in the bomarc and would still like to meet up with you for lunch. Lmk! Cool you guys still do Toy Run, Swedish meet was cool, hopefully it happens again

Never met it to IPD for the open house or for the G-sale, I'm lame, I know, but I guess if we have offers to do events we just have to PM or post up on VS!
