Thanks guys, however it think you will be underwhelmed ;)

no plans to go beyond the K16 on this - so likely only in the 325wheel range, from what I'm seeing. 

I can't even really call it a 'build' thread, since everything is bolt on - I haven't had to fabricate a single part myself....

Perhaps in a few years I will change my mind, however, this is my DD and I'm not going to get carried away with it like the XR, really.

It's just not the same as building a P80 - where you are making stuff work that was never intended for that model. The C30 has much more readily available to it.

I guess what I mean by that is that I'm used to a 'build' meaning a fair amount of thought and design and fabrication or modification has had to be figured out to get from point A to points beyond...

Liking the blackout on the C30 Hussein.  Looks great!

It is cool that the C30 has such a good aftermarket selection of parts.  I've been telling myself the next time i'm in the market for a vehicle that is where I will search first,  by aftermarket.  Looking on the ATP site, they have some big turbo stuff for the C30/V50/S40.  Then i got sidetracked looking at the ecoboost stuff, they have some really good looking kits for both the Fiesta and Focus ST.  Not to mention a 500hp capable kit for the SHO, explorer, and F150's with the twin turbo 3.5 V6.

arts aren't really an issue for these cars. Tuning is what holds the P1 chassis cars back.  Barely anyone tunes them, and the only tuner I know of that's willing to do more than just sell you an "off-the-shelf" tune is Shark Performance.  I haven't been on C30Crew in a month or two, but the last I heard they were still trying to catch up on the US-spec K16 tune and get the updated tune to everyone they owed.

So unless you go full standalone (Motec, Haltech, etc = $$$) that'll play nice with CANBUS, you're out of luck when it comes to anything beyond a K16.  Think about where the ME7 cars with respect to tuning were roughly 5-7 years ago - that's about where the P1 cars are now.

Someone should pin this line for future reference, it will look great next to something like...

"Just used the Haldex and AWD stuff from the XR, I had to cut, weld, machine, fabricate, invent, a couple of things...... "

 

Looks great. I wanted the Avanti wheels for my S60R but the tire shop said they wouldn't clear the calipers. Right!

I ended up with the Drag DR67 which resemble those a lot.
