Thanks, it's funny how videos always seem slower than real life. Also, second video was up a pretty steep incline over 100mph. I'm on the stock dual VVT cams (uncontrolled) on the B5244T5, although I have advanced both intake and exhaust by 8-10 degrees, but I might be able to bring the power band down a smidge with some more adjustment. I have 15lbs of boost by 4,500rpm, all 21psi by 5K so it's pretty close.

I'm impressed by how well it pulls up top with stock R manifold and stock 4.4 intake mani...

(somehow my signature suddenly appeared, which is good. I couldn't figure out what happened to it?)

Can you add the details of the turbo so we do y have to hunt that down? Seems like late boost onset (15 at 4500) for a (bolt on) turbo.  With that late build up, you must be hitting redline pretty fast. Hard to tell from videos. Data logging makes it easier to quantify actual 60-100 or 60-120 times relative to Rpms/ boost / road speed.

If you are using TunerPro that will be easy enough to do.

Did you manual swap to FWD, or do you have M66 AWD? Obviously AWD would make times more impressive, given the extra baggage.

Hi Hussein, here's a link to the 4T4 info page on ipd website. Essentially, 44 lb/min .60 A/R billet compressor wheel, .86 A/R turbine. I think I was way off on my above estimates about boost onset in regard to rpm. I have no real way to log this,  as my tune was done in-car (on road) by Marco Alsterfalk of MTE when he was in Portland last May. I can say I was wrong with my estimations about boost onset. I just got the car back on the road recently and I was trying to guesstimate from watching the boost gauge on my A pilar and my tach at the same time- not really feasible.  I went out tonight in an attempt to try and capture this better on camera, but to no avail. I can confirm that in second I can get 17lbs close to 3,500, from third it comes up a bit later but I can get all 21/22 by 4,200-4,300, 4th gear from 3k WOT I'm seeing full boost by 4K- 4,200.. I don't have a way to log, but I can try and figure out a way to film my tach and boost gauge simultaneously... not as precise as data logging but may be able to show you what's going on. In the 0-120 video I posted you can see the tach , and other than me shifting into 4th a bit late the car still pulls to redline. Marco wrote my rev limiter in at 7,400RPM now. I'm finding 6,800 is about the perfect place to shift and keep the power on- particularly from 3rd-4th.

In regard to your other question, yes I have functioning AWD with M58 gearbox and all the drag that goes along. I'm really happy with how the car pulls. I'll schedule some time on the dyno soon and post up the results. I wish I could have more concrete information to share with you, but you'll have to take me at my word as far as what I'm seeing. It's been nearly 6 years I've been building this car, and it's finally right. I see a lot of talk about GT2876/ GT3071, etc... people knock the 4T4 for its price, but it's also bolt-on ready... that really simplifies things, and beyond that the turbo sizing was very well thought out in regard to the application. Please note I no longer work for or represent ipd, but I can give this turbo a glowing endorsement. It spools barely later than the K24 but has much more pull up top. I'm completely happy with this, and maybe in time other Volvospeeders will be able to use it and report back. I can't help but wonder what this setup would do in a lighter fwd platform...

Big coin for that turbo,huh?

It's not cheap, I agree. But it's nice to have one neat package with all the components. Took me 8-9 hours to install mine, and that including replacing my angle gear and some other tired components.

My R pulls like a freight train on the 4T4. I'm sure I could have found some cheaper alternatives but I don't worry about cracking sleeves knowing IPD and Marco are behind the hardware and software I used. Steve O would have been my first choice, had he and Ben (BMac) been closer but I'm in AZ and they're in CT.

I was going to go for the 4T4 last year, but the power is too high up in the RPMs for me to use, but then my uses seem to be fairly unique on VS.

The turbo makes a lot of power and I may still go with it when I retire the car from racing.
