Brad850 Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 What do you guys think about polaris/eikers on an 850? People say the offset makes them sit funny but I don't think they are all that bad. I'm wondering if they would clear a porsche bbk without spacers. I'm assuming no..
andyb5 Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 They look good to me. Kaplhenke has them available to order too. http://www.kaplhenke.com/collections/240/products/eiker-classic-e1 Since they're 7.5" et20, they sit pretty close to flush with the fenders. They might clear Porsche calipers, I think it'll be close either way
Brad850 Posted February 7, 2016 Author Report Posted February 7, 2016 Yup and I don't think you would want to put spacers on these. I'm really contemplating selling my BBK
tuner4life Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 These look really good. Way better than I imagined. Also surprised that they clear even the stock brakes!
Oreo931 Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 I think the eikers stick out too far. The polaris wheels look much better in terms of offset, but they are only 7" wide, and I doubt they will clear a bbk without a decent amount of spacing. Not worth it IMO. Edit: Polaris wheels are also quite expensive and very hard to come by.
Brad850 Posted February 9, 2016 Author Report Posted February 9, 2016 Yea I believe someone on turbobricks sold some clearly bent and somewhat rashed looking polaris's for $1400. I definitely like them a little better.
Burn-E Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 There are other sources besides CJ for those interested in the Eikers: https://www.eiker.no/main.aspx?page=articlelist&gid=1081
Brad850 Posted February 11, 2016 Author Report Posted February 11, 2016 I'll let you guys know how they look on a red 850R in a few weeks. Get excited for some of my crappy cell phone pics
Brad850 Posted February 11, 2016 Author Report Posted February 11, 2016 Eikers. I don't think the poke is too bad. Will probably end up rolling fenders. And if I end up hating them, I'm sure I can sell them on T bricks for not that much of a loss.
Oreo931 Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Nice. I look forward to pics, and I'm curious to see how much brake clearance they offer.

If by some miracle it looks like they might clear big reds, I'll test fit the brakes before selling them. That would be an awesome find! Spacers are obviously out of the question

The 996TT calipers I'm running are wider than 993TT/928GTS, Ceika, or S60R calipers most people have.
gmsgltr Posted February 12, 2016 Report Posted February 12, 2016 If you sell the BBK at least put 302's on there so you don't have a highly modded car with 6 different braces underneath etc etc with silly little rotors... I think the poke will be fine, with the right tire size. Please don't stretch tires on these wheels. My final offset on the rear of my R is 20 I think with 225 tires so I don't think this poke is too much... That Nautic you posted above looks good with the wheels. If it were me I would have a taller tire on that car and lower springs to fill the wheel well and they would look even better Wait didn't you have new/mint comets? I will buy em... especially if they are 7.5" wide... gunmetal comets with 235 40 17 PSS tires mmmmmmm
