TIZIO AKA 1 HND MEC
Since I decided to have the V70R resprayed I am in search of places/stores who sells OEM or similar paint for our cars. This is what I am looking for, #1 2000 V70R Silver Metallic 426, #2 1998 V70R Shaffron---Pearl? 435? not sure since Paint Scratch site show the Shoffron 435 and Sandstone Pearl 437 that is very similar to my wagon!?! Any suggestion/direccion/links are greatly apreciated guys, thanks Tizio.
wizzard_al
OK 1. go to this site to find out where to find your paint color on your car http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up_paint/Volvo/ 2. this site tells you the paint manufacturer https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/paint_colour_codes.shtml 3. this site tells you who now owns those paint manufacturers http://www.volvotips.com/index.php/general/volvo-color-codes/ Hopefully, this will help find not only your color, but you can go to a paint shop or auto body shop and see if they can connect you with the manufacturer to get your paint. What I didn't tell you was how to find another color for your car. That is a bit harder, because if you are changing color, you only know what color you want, but maybe checking through these sites will give you a handle on the manufacturers, if they will talk to you. quiksilver
Saffron is code 435. If you're touching up an area, beware that the factory paint will have dulled since these cars were painted 16-18 years ago. As a result you'll need to blend it in. Thanks, I will spray just the bumpers as the whole body car is near perfect!
