sconeman
Been working on a lot of new stuff and updating products. I've decided to make a RIP kit for the 850 and 98 P80's and I also updated the 99-00 RIP kit with a larger lower pipe and made some adjustments to the bottom section of the 99-00 kit to resolve the crazy tight clearances on the old kit. Both kits have a 2.5" piping, included 1/8th NPT Bungs for water injection, reinforced virgin silicone and 316ss marine grade ABA clamps. The 93-98 RIP kit can fit the Turbo Throttle body or the NA throttle body. Our RIP kit is priced at $299 it's at least $50 cheaper than do88 and a lot of the parts are fabricated here in Ithaca NY. Why not support your local economy (well, if you're local to us anyway) and buy from Snabb ;) The 850/ 98 kits are curretly only available in Blue but if there is some demand for them I can add them in black to. 850/ 98 70's RIP kit CLICK HERE ! Our 99-00 RIP uses 2.5" aluminum piping has the fittings for the 99-00 cars and is priced at $349.95. Of course we only use the highest quality 5mm thick nomex/ amarid fiber virgin silicone and welcome customized orders. It's very easy for us to add Blow off valves with recirculation fittings and hoses. So please contact us first if you have a custom project that you need to get done. The 99-00 kits are available in blue or black and we can do black powdercoating or custom finishes if need just contact us if you need something that you don't see. 99-00 70's RIP kit CLICK HERE! Thanks! and let me know if you have any questions!

_HighVoltage_
Hey Kristian, does the 98 kit require removing the SAS pump?

Can I send you my old lower pipe or just buy this piece? I've got one from the pre-order a few years back and it is indeed crazy tight.

The piping goes straight up through the space around the lower coolant hose/ hard trans coolant line 2 hours ago, apeacock said: Can I send you my old lower pipe or just buy this piece? I'll get a price together for you.

IMO, get the fresh air intake too, that made a big difference... Sorry for the crappy cell pics, but it's all I have from when I did this just shy of a year ago IIRC. Before... Waiting to get my tune from Aaron so I can install it in conjunction with my 540i MAF. 4 minutes ago, ryan850-t5 said: What are the benefits of the RIP and what is this used in conjunction with? thanks Kristian Take a look at Matt's picture above. You can see (and imagine on the underside of the stock IC) that the piping run is much shorter on the RIP kit than the OEM system. Less piping leads to better air delivery. In addition, the RIP Kit has less bends in it, and more bends means more pressure drop. In addition, hot air rises right? Now think about the intercooler. The hot air out of the turbo with the RIP Kit gets piped into the top of the intercooler and exits out the bottom, which is opposite of what the stock piping does. The air in the intercooler, in theory, will be cooler at the bottom of the core than it will be at the top, so forcing the air to exit out the bottom of the intercooler will result in cooler intake temps. From Snabb's website regarding the RIP Kit: The Snabb Reverse Intercooler Piping kit for 1993-1998 Volvos is finally here. With the Snabb RIP kit you get shorter charge piping, less turbo lag and significantly improved throttle response. The kit will add significant "wow factor" when you open the hood and you will also eliminate the restrictive factory corrugated plastic throttle pipe that is prone to cracks and boost leaks! We designed our entire kit from the ground up for the shortest possible routing that will fit Automatic transmissions or Manual transmissions. Our kit features all aluminum 2.5" piping with a options for Both the regular turbo Throttle body or the larger NA or big bore throttle body. We've included an NPT bung for water injection as an added bonus. The Snabb RIP kit reverses the flow of the turbo charged air so that the hot air enters the top of the intecrooler and exits the bottom. This not only reduces the length of the piping but it increases intercooler efficiency giving you cooler intake air and less turbo lag. This listing is for Polished pipes with Blue silicone FEATURES: Shorter than stock all aluminum polished 2.5" piping Integrated 1/8th" NPT bung for easier water injection installations Heavy duty 5mm silicone hose (4 layers Nomex + 5 layers silicone) with a "lifetime manufacturer's warranty" Premium ABA 316 SS worm clamps
ryan850-t5
Thanks for the reply. I was curious because I know people have said in the past that RIP kits don't do that much in terms of performance. Thanks for the clarification. Sounds like Kristian has made it better along with it being a cheaper alternative. Sounds like a great product!
