Yes I can but I have better things to do with my time than feed a perpetual troll who has no interest in learning about the underlying issues.

underlying, like how Mormonism is a cult? c'mon Alain, have a laugh for once

This isn't much different from when Trump supporters make political points, and then when it's pointed out how ridiculous or lazy the points are, they play it off like it was all just a joke or trolling. It's not like this is the first time you've gone shallow on the debate.

I might think it has some cult-like qualities too, but I'm not going to have any meaningful discussion by starting it out like that. That's just insulting something he's devoted a huge part of his life to, and maybe even centered life decisions around. Considering he basically laughed it off, maybe you can dig deeper on at least one of the points and find something to signify it's in the realm of factual.

there is no point, his mind has been brain washed. Nothing that you and I will say to him will change his mind

Then what's your purpose in sharing the link? So people already in agreement with you can high five? You don't seem very interested in the possibility that what you read was inaccurate.

1.  He's bored and doesn't have shit going on.

2.  His second issue is multi-faceted.  He hasn't figured out that religion belongs to any given individual and should be respected as such...key word being respect.  The reason for that is whether he wants to see it or not, he's about as far left and intolerant as they come, as a group they recognize individuality and diversity provided it falls in line with what they believe in and religion generally isn't one of those things.  He's caught in that vicious circle fed by the constant shit he reads online and the people he surrounds himself with.

If I were to bag on anybody about their religious beliefs I would expect to get my ass kicked, but I was also brought up in that magical place where we were taught to respect others regardless of their beliefs.  I think that makes me more liberal than Kevin..

I see what you're saying, but I think it's a little different. He's lost religion. Which I've noticed can sometimes be like some of the types who lose alcohol with the help of AA. Some take it to the extreme and become preachy. All those drunks/churchgoers just don't get it, but they've been enlightened and need others to know. It's not that he doesn't respect religion. It's that he's bitter about it. Which I completely get. I would be too. But I don't know if he realizes he's gone from one extreme to the other.

Very good points and I won't disagree, but if religion has has had that much of an effect on him where he has to bag on others that do embrace it he should joint a support group or something.  If it's just a matter of feeling "duped" by it and not believing then you suck it up and move on.  We've all been had in some sort of way in life but throwing time and energy at something negative in your life produces zero results.  One of my best friends grew up catholic, altar boy and all that shit and is now an atheist.  He generally says nothing about it other than he doesn't believe.  Easy stuff.

I was an altar boy for 8 years, our priest was cool as hell and church was about the best place to pull tail.  When you're young the biggest obstacle to getting laid is the parents, when they see you at church you automatically get a pass.  I got a lot of tail by participating in mass.

Kevin is a troll when it comes to my faith as it is consistently my faith he feels a need to focus on.  He doesn't understand it and he feels threatened by those who honestly believe because he feels betrayed by what he used to believe.

There is no reasonable discourse with him because he isn't interested in that. He only wants someone to abuse with his own disbelief, doubt, fear and anger.

I disagree with many extreme views even Christian and I go to extraordinary lengths to understand other faiths and philosophies so that I can see as they see.  Even if I don't agree with them.

I'm hardly brainwashed as I recognize my doubts and can speak very openly about them.  But I also know my faith and recognize the benefits it provides in the lives of many including my own. Tell me Kevin, do you have something better because the evidence says otherwise.

But I see discussing this with Kevin like wrestling with a pig in the mud: the pig gets frustrated and I get dirty.

I fucking love your responses. I did get the Catholic approval a few times and tried my best at that time to make something of it... can't say though that it "helped" me. I married a jew.

Or like how when pussy liberals support a piece of shit for president then protest when the REAL candidate whips her ass.  Kinda like that?

That kind of speak has no place on VS.  These kids on here project themselves as liberals  but can accept NOTHING but what they believe in.  Everything else irrational in their eyes. A person has the right to believe ANYTHING they want to believe.  I don't fault Kevin for not believing it just so happens that I don't share his beliefs.  With that I just want to add

Trump Train baby.  woooooooooot woooooooooot  (For Erik).
