I studied under last century's foremost scholar in our faith. I'm friends with most of the historians who have thoroughly critically analyzed our religious history - warts and all. My cousin is the head of public relations for the Church. My father and mother were responsible for running three of the 155 different global temples specifically in Chicago, the DR and in Ghana. I've sat in meetings with and exchanged thoughts with several of the current Apostles of the Church. My family history on both sides of my parents goes all the way back to the early days of the Church in1840. There is nothing you have read about my faith I haven't already read and considered let alone lived in counseling and supporting teenagers and members of all different life experiences. I firmly believe that Mormonism is a cult and on that list Mormonism does in fact check a few boxes, specifically #3 given that the book of Mormon is not from the Bible. It's not in the original text, but you're required to do it by the group. Now the group is based on a living leader, not a book. Or is that the word of god? Or do you believe these religious texts are legitimate but being abused?
