FINN
Couple stand outs from very recent. 3 day paint correction on this Bentley Turbo R. Another 3 day detail on this Packard. This was without machines. My arms were tired as fugg. I'll spend a few days with the T5M next week for Carlisle so I'll have some volvo content. Too much is possible.... its a sickness lol. Especially if youre chasing perfect paint.

I've read about both 105 and 205 but decided to go Chemical Guys due to a claimed longer work time. I think we're almost using the same setup - I have the Griots orbital and LC pads but I use the white pad for the second stage Your car looks incredible! Meguiars has been great, gets good results easily, but it does love dusting. The entire windshield, fenders, and a bit of the roof all had dust after I finished the hood. Thanks, I try to keep it clean, but it needs to be lowered, among a host of other things
WayAway
Clean my car 2-3 times a week. Just the lazy spray wax way. Since Ive owned the car its never gotten actually waxed. My buddy wants to wax it but I just never have the time. Im sure the outcome would look great
RBoy8
Not the greatest photo, but I went over the car with just Mothers Cleaner Wax and for what it is, I quite like it. It got rid of the oxidization and stains in the single stage paint, and brought back some of the creaminess of the cream yellow. There are still some slight swirls and fine scratches when you're looking closely at the paint or under specific lighting though, but I plan on addressing when I do a full detail. I decided to hold off on the clay bar until then too.
FINN
I suggest looking into nano skin synthetic clay bars. You get quite a bit of mileage from them. Also, if you drop it on the ground just rinse it off. They come in different grades of bite.
RBoy8
Thanks for the tip, Val! I'll check 'em out.
FINN
Not a problem. So I took on this 240 for paint restoration/correction alongside my T5M. Its gonna be a long week getting everything ready by Friday morning for carlisle. Spent about 3 hours washing, decontaminating, and claying the T5M. Ready to start polishing. Timbo Slice
Just picked up everything I should need for the detail. Going to perform a full 2 stage polish on the coupe, see how it comes out, and then do the same on the XC90. -PC 7424XP -5" Hook and Loop Backing Plate -HexLogic Assorted Pads -5 pack clay bars -M105 -M205 -Blackfire Wet Diamond I'll post pictures when everything gets here Thursday and I start the detail. I'll likely do 1-2 panels a day over a week or so.

Couple passes with 400 and LC yellows. One pass with 3500 on LC whites. Followed with finishing glaze on a white. I wont start sealing the paint until all is polished. White is a color where this much work is a bit overkill but while I'm under the waxes, sealants and coatings, I might as well...its fun detailing one of my own cars.
