Booyachops
I was driving the other day and as I pulled into a parking lot, my car just died. After towing her home, I put the code reader on her. I got the code for misfiring cylinders 1,2, and 3. My neighbor had a hunch that it was not the cylinders, and looked for the CMP. As he touched it, the connector fell apart in his hand. I purchased a new CMP and installed it. Now, the other codes are gone, but they're replaced by P0340(camshaft position sensor)! She won't start and when I put a multimeter to pin 1 going to the wire harness, I get a good ground, pin 2 gives me 11v DC, and pin 3 gives me 11v DC. I'm totally lost... Where do I go from here? Ol' Dirty Noodle
Either the CPS is shot, or if you disconnected it, you might have hooked it up wrong and reversed the polarity
