First car

Hey I'm Sam. Turned 16 and got Mt license then a week after bought my first car. A 1991 NA 740. miles in the low 200s but the odometer quit at 187k. It was owned by an enthusiast you could tell just by how he talked about the car and also the fact that he put so much work into it. It started out as a base model and now thanks to him has non torn leather seats, heated seats (drivers side doesn't work) a new radio, a new headliner, a electric sunroof to replace the crank one, and new shocks. So my upgrade list is as follows. Cut springs (dad thinks I should leave it like is) put in new fuel pump old owner is mailing me. I already replaced one wheel due to a large chunk out of the sidewall and found out the three others were ten years old when though they still have a ton of tread left i should probably replace them soon. Pics to come soon. I have named home Walter the wagon.

OK. I'll just wait till after I tint the windows and buy new tires. pictures won't upload but I got a heck of a deal it's super clean and was $1200

Mt as in Montana? If so, put your money in a dedicated set of snow tires (on separate rims) and have some fun in the snow. That will also let you mount a set of performance tires to the current set of wheels too, since you won't have to worry about their use <32F.

Not sure how the craigslist offerings are out there, but around me there's people selling their old set of volvo snow tires from clearing out the garage or after trading in their old car. That's a cheap way to get rims, though be cautious about expecting the tires to be good. They might be too old, as the rubber starts to dry out and rot.

Meant to put my instead of Mt. Actually I live in Texas. So there is very little need for snow tires. also I can not get pictures to load. Is it my phone maybe? I'll try again on my iPad later.

Ah well in that case make sure to skip the all seasons and go straight for the good stuff. Keep the UTQG on the higher side though if you hope to get some mileage out of them. You also probably want something decent in the rain, so don't go for something too aggressive.

I don't see a picture in your second post above, but I see an empty picture element. I'm not even sure how you were able to create an empty picture.

Hm - apparently this is an existing issue that is being worked on. In the mean time, you can upload to somewhere else like Photobucket or Imgur and insert it here.

OK. Will try that. For tires I'll probably stick with what they already put on the car which is a barum bravarius 3 by continental. From the reviews it looks decent and I am a teenager so the $107 installed with a warranty from discount sons good to me.
