boxpin Posted December 22, 2016 Report Share Posted December 22, 2016 Score: Raccoon 1 - R bumper 0 I hit a raccoon and broke the bottom of my R bumper. The tow hook probably saved it from further damage. Its repairable and I have submitted an insurance claim. I talked with the repair shop and told them the R bumper is no longer available. They were going to do some research and get back to me. Long story short they called and said they found an aftermarket R skin that is supposed to be an exact replica. I am leary. Brad850 Posted December 23, 2016 Report Share Posted December 23, 2016 The Erebuni front bumper was pretty much dead on other than the little flares. Saw a new one on ebay last year. Although I'd be surprised if that's what they found. I would be willing to bet they haven't found a solid R bumper replica. I would just ask them to show you a picture first. This. Man, it would be great if IPD or EST could supply an aftermarket option. There's a person (tomcat, I think) who made an ERST replica of the lower portion of the R bumper, that fits on the regular bumpers but the group buy never really made it anywhere. When I destroyed mine in the winter a few years ago, I scored one at the junkyard but had to do quite a bit of repairs to it. Both pillars were cracked on it, along with the DS corner portion. I hit a raccoon in my V70R (quite low), Didnt ruin the bumper but ripped and bent the V-band clamp at the end on my downpipe at 10 at night one time.
