xDrunkenHippiex
So the other day my 94 960 was running just fine and then all of a sudden wouldn't start and I haven't been able to figure out why. I have been checking various relays and components and have had volvo certified master technicians give it the all clear after doing a head gasket job and from what I've been reading and hearing it could be the camshaft position sensor. I checked the resistance of both my cmp and ckp and the cno was reading 33 mega ohms and the ckp was reading around 30 ohms. That cam sensor resistance reading was alarming to me and I am unable to find the specs online. If anyone has any idea about the cmp sensor resistance spec or why it would just give out and not start out of the blue I would love any help. Thank you. diesel dave
The resistance of 33 meg ohms is too high. Check for broken wires. Otherwise the Cam Pos. Sensor could be bad. DD
