black_mass Posted March 14, 2017 Report Share Posted March 14, 2017 Hey all! Just picked up my first Volvo after helping my brother work on his 98 v70 GLT. Its an 01 S60 that I traded an old Marlin 22lr for. It has started life as an NA but spun a bearing from a lack of oil changes. So now it up to me to transplant a GLT drive train out of a 00 XC that was rolled (I should be picking up that car this weekend). I'm not really sure what I have gotten myself into, but my S60 is so clean I couldn't let it go to the crusher. I know it will probably be a long road, but being the lead tech for a boat shop and coming from working on heavy trucks, helicopters, racecars, sleds, etc I'm pretty confident that with the proper knowledge of the electronic system in these cars I will be able to handle it.
