Mouhmad issawi Posted July 21, 2017 Report Share Posted July 21, 2017 I was driving my volvo c70 to work and randomly the winter mode light come on and it's flashing I stopped turned off my and turned it back on after that i was driving it about 60 miles per hour then when I stopped at red light the car drove like it was in 3rd gear i took it to the first mechanic he said the gas i took it to the second he said it was something inside transmission we cant fix i asked my dad he said it's the PNP SWITCH but im not sure if it's the PNP SWITCH or the transmission please help if anyone had this problem thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Burn-E Posted July 26, 2017 Report Share Posted July 26, 2017 Could be the PNP switch. Pretty easy fix. Key is to pull the codes and find out what's going on. Take your car to a Volvo certified mechanic. Someone who knows these cars. The other possibility is the early stages of failure of the ETM.
