T5XC
Hey all. I had actually registered on the forum awhile back and just never got around to exploring it or posting. Anyways I live in Tampa, FL. Currently own a 99 XC, an 89 780, and recently purchased the 98 twin to our 99 XC. The 99 XC (Vader) got a B5234T3 earlier this year from an 01 C70. The block was shimmed, head received a 3 angle valve job and gasket matched porting. An MLS head gasket meant for an S60R was used to handle the internal esploshuns, and a single piece exhaust gasket meant for an 05 S40 T5 to seal up the R manifold. Gates Racing timing belt, Snabb spacers on the Xemodex ETM and intake, Snabb fresh air kit, R manifold, and a K24. Stock dp with gutted cat and rear O2 spacer setup to exit the back through dual Magnaflow mufflers. Poly bushings at the firewall, upper torque mount, and lower dogbone. No tune as of yet. C70 front struts, subframe and bracing underneath, and TME lowering spring, IPD HD spring seats for the front suspension. R Nivos and springs with the cheat mod rounds up the rear. Full 2 tone interior conversion. The 780 is a rolling shell and I am going to eventually do a special purpose build with her. The 98 XC (Kyla) still has her factory 230k mile 2.4. Last Saturday I spent the entire day swapping in NA cams, NA intake and 960 throttle body, R manifold, 16T with a new CBV diaphragm and 10lb spring, IPD blue wires, and a smattering of new silicone coolant hoses. Also replaced the entire PCV system and replaced every vac hose. She also has a V70 T5A ECU installed. IPD cam timing tool ordered and on its way. She has a long way to go to be on the same level as Vader. So that's all. I'll post updates on the progress of all of them
RedCar850R
Welcome 780 owner!! I have an '88 780 with prv engine (B280F), and also an '87 parts car 780. I'm guessing your '89 780 came with redblock engine and multi-x wheels? The '99 XC sounds pretty cool.
