The gas leak is fixed. The leak was a combination of the pressure hose o-rings and a loose fuel tank lock ring.

I also swapped the throttle cable / kickdown sensor from the parts car. I didn't realize how bad the cable was until I pulled it and and it came apart in pieces.

I have two codes coming up. EFI-444 and EFI-422. Accelerometer and Atmospheric Pressure Sensor. I'm going to go ahead and pull both from the parts car and swap them in. At least they are both easy to do.

Looks like I'm going to have to get an Atmospheric Pressure Sensor. The one from the parts car was broken in the crash.

I swapped out the main window switch as well as most of the dash switches. The windows switch was acting up and not always working. The dash switches didn't have working lights. I also adjusted the headlights.

I replaced the alternator and I'm now back on the road. I also swapped out the cluster with the R gauge cluster.

I have two codes that I have not been able to get rid of.

Efi-444 accelerometer signal

Efi-422 atmospheric pressure sensor signal.

I tried swapping out the accelerometer from my parts car but the code stayed on. I'm not sure it the problem is the sensors or the wiring. I need to figure out how to test the sensors.

I had the tires replaced over the weekend. I had pirelli cinturato p7 all season 215 55R16s installed on the 16" Meteors. Everyone wasn't kidding when they said the 302mm brakes just barely fit.

I took the car in for an alignment today. The car is riding so much better now. I still need to replace the front sway bar endlinks though.

I swapped out the rear sway bar to the iPD upgraded bar a week ago. One of the sway bar mounts on the old bar were completely broken. I already notice a difference in they way the car corners. I also replaced the fuel filter at the same time.

Over the last few weeks, I've been trying to figure out a wobble under load at 25-35 mph. I thought it could be the driveshaft but it is good and rebuilt. The front wheel bearings seemed good as well. The front axles are also rebuilt. On Friday, I put the car on jack stands and spent some time looking over everything. I traced the problem to the inner CV joint on the rebuilt front passenger side axle. I swapped in the original axle from the silver car to get the car on the road for now. I will have the other axle repaired when it's in the budget. The axle I'm using now has a torn outer boot.

Did the axle swap make the "wobble" go away?  Low speed vibrations/shaking are often caused by a tire starting to separate its plies.  Assumed you looked for that?

The wobble did go away. I did think it was the tires at first since they were bad. I replaced the tires the week before and the wobble didn't go away. I do still have a slight vibration at 65 mph but I really thing they didn't balance the tires well. I also had the car aligned they day after the tire replacement.

Did axle boots on my wagon not too long ago. Not a bad repair (time or money) even using genuine Volvo parts.

I may have to try that, good to know.

Awesome SWAP! Great job sir!!!

Thanks. I really like your car. I wish I could get my wife to allow me to do half what you have done. I have too many other projects and this car is supposed to be my daily driver. Unless I can justify mods with increased reliability or gas mileage, it isn't going to happen.

Very true, haha. It's a little harder to sell when I also have two fun cars.

I replaced the upper radiator hose on Friday. There was a slight seeping at the radiator that I didn't want to get worse. I'm glad I did it because there was cracking in the hose under the clamp. I'm also glad I replaced the lower hose when I did the motor swap because that one is much harder to do now. I'm thinking that I should go ahead and replace the hose from the underside of the coolant reservoir because it worries me. It doesn't leak but it is a little soft and bloated.

I picked up a black dash to swap into the car. The dash was the one thing I was missing complete the conversion to the black R interior. I still need to find a black dash top and center channel. I plan to replace the defrost selection motor when the dash is out. The heater is stuck on defrost right now.

I also picked up a drawtie hitch.

I'll get some pics posted after tomorrow. I may try and get the dash swapped tomorrow, it depends on how ambitious I am.

I picked up a C70 leather shifter handle and parking brake handle. They are in really good shape but I do need to replace the knob. The leather shifter in the V70R is warn. I'm thinking of trying to dye the tan R  steering wheel black since the tan is wearing off. I would like to find a nice black wheel. Once I get that figured out, I'll sell my mint tan wheel.

I finally got around to installing the good rear wiper setup from the parts car. I also pulled the rear spoiler from the parts car and started to get it ready for installation. I really need to have the window tint redone darker in the back and that parking sticker removed from under the tint.

I started on the black interior installation. Working rear hatch struts are installed so no more getting hit in the head every time the hatch falls back down.

The dash installed was pushed to this week.
