I think that may even be legal here........correct, i was sitting in traffic the one day and a semi was next to me. i looked over and saw the big emblem and thought hhhhmmmmm. it attached with double sided tape but it wouldn't stick to my grill so i had to do some modding to get it attached.PA offically doesn't allow tint on the fronts from what i was told by the dealer. its not so dark but we'll see. flyfishing31568908306 Posted May 25, 2007 Author Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 Car looks Great . . . . which do U like driving better ? & for what reason's ? if U don't mind me askin.hey dave, i drive the saffron daily. i really like the car now that i'm getting most of maintenence stuff out of the way. they are definitely two different animals. the 04 is much quicker, more refined and updated.the 98 is probably more fun to drive, more feel for the road and more personality. it needs some things done to make it the car i want it to be.stereo needs update-HU and speakersoriginal suspension pieces, so that needs done eventuallymotor needs some massaging.the tranny and drive/angle seems plenty strong right now but thats a crap shot.its a gamble spending real money on this car, but i really enjoy it and have a back up if all goes to pot. i know i'll never get the money out of it i'm putting in but...... the fantasy is to give it to my young kids some day and have them appreciate it. i'll have the saffron long after the silver is gone. i think part of it is the panache of the saffron and an R. if it was a plain on car i probable wouldn't care so much.mikeOT: I see the garbage collectors are into launching those black garbage bins all over the place i think our collection company hires gorilla's. the cans are can be found all over the place. Thanks - David.they are both fun to drive first.both have great seats.04R pros.faster.much much better stereomore creature comforts in the refinement.smoother accelarationbetter brakes.98r.you can feel the road a lot more.-the 04 is so refined and computerized it takes away from the driving experience,thats fine but if i wanted to do some twistys and feel like i'm driving i'd take the 98.i do all the upgrades, mainenance, basically everything myself. no way i'd do this on the 04with having a saffron i get alot more attention driving. people are always looking and pointing.(thats mostly becuase of the color) but anybody who's into volvo's sees that car they now what it is.both get about the same mileage so thats a wash. if i'm tooling around town i take the saff. if its stictly a highway run i'd take the p2.i miss my 04(i sold it recently) and i will eventually get an 07, sonic, nord 6sp. loaded.i recently asked about getting 80ish 240ti and that was shot down quickly than i asked about a early c70 vert and was again blasted so we'll see. You will find and buy one of the (MAYBE) two or three built, if that!I've NEVER even seen an 07 Sonic much less a 6 speed (maybe I've seen 2 of those)Not many 07 V70R's were ordered, they were allocated to the dealers.ALL of the 07s I've seen were black with a couple of silvers thrown in!A dealer would not have ordered a Sonic unsold like there were very few Atacama's ever ordered for stock.You would be better off giving me a deposit for a future buy for mine. Unless something changes, I seem to be driving this one about 5000 miles on a yearly basis.Bought it with 13,500 miles and have now 17,400 miles, (9 months)!
