The biggest hinderence in these engines as mentioned are the rods, they're good for about 330 HP like doug said, but that is w/ a perfect tune w/ a horse shoe shoved up your butt for good luck. Blue valve covers started in '99...But the seats should be a good clue.VIN will be a lock.
