NChoy
Don't forget Hussein (lookforjoe). He's doing a 20G turbo and a bunch of other mods.Oh, and of course after I post the pictures of the coil-over install I did recently on my wagon, everyone will want one of their own! Big Will
They're never "finished." I have the custom Woth software in mine now and an R manifold and still eventually have plans of going w/ green injectors and an 18T and a re-map...but not until I come back from Sweden more permanently. As I've said before, we need to have a get together this summer and take some pictures.Nick Choy - sounds like an amazing project is unfolding. firepuma
I'll be a hot minute before I catch up to these guys!! Gotta finalize a Construction loan I've been trying to tackle for the last 5 months to free up some money- then Justin has to be ready to dive in!! lookforjoe
Very Nice!Be sure to photo-document as you go along! Not sure about the Spec III clutch, though - a bunch of VS'ers have had them fail recently... IF you're staying AWD (which of course you are) The S60R clutch/dual mass is working well for me, and I've now got the hybrid 20g running 22psi to 7600 redline (95mph in 3rd @ 7K)
Chilled man
yeah I would stay far far far away from spec I have never heard a single good thing about them.

Well, that's not very promising.I haven't installed the clutch yet... I wonder if I can return it and order one from Clutchnet?Hussein, I'm using the S60R dual mass flywheel. I wasn't very happy about the price of the Spec Stage III... it worked out to be $930 shipped to my door.
Chilled man
Yeah between the junk they make for the VW crowd and the Volvo crowd not sure how they stay in buisness. I think Johann had his spline area strip right out and a few friends of mine that own VW had there chatter till the one exploded and nuked the tranny. momof94850-tx
Nice project! I hope you hit your dead line. We really have not hit any issues on mine as far as working issues...most every delay I have had has been due to parts lost in shipping (uh ya...my turbo got lost for a freaking month- Thanks UPS!) and a few other odds and ends. Mine is nearing mechanical completion (it is currently lot drivable), then it's on for body work. Held up on the Ohlins (yet again) for the rear right now. Was waiting for an LSD but qualife still doesn't have it ready yet. I'll pop the trans back out when they are released and install that.I'll be posting a full build thread when it's done. Not letting the cat out of the bag until it's done. Several one-off things have been built and fabricated. Look for complete details late march or april.I don't trust the stock S60R clutch...I changed a bunch of them (considering the # of S60R manuals out there) when I worked at the dealer.I have a spec stage 3+ in my car. Aaron and I are not expecting any issues. There really are not a ton of options for clutches for these cars. Juan had an 850R clutch in his and that didn't last long either. I bought my spec clutch from George at Viva and got a heck of a deal on it. I know George and if there are any issues he will stand behind it as much as possible. I think a lot of the clutch issues depend on how you drive it. I will be doing on road road races so my car won't see tons of WOT gear banging so I think it will be ok.Good luck on your project!Nick

Coulda got a twofer special!
