momof94850-tx
Whats your e-mail?I'll try to post them here too. It's rubbing the axle boot in multiple spots. My concern is these were installed on the bench and never on a car- ie no weight to compress the suspension. The first photo is with the car on the ground as the car would be in normal driving-- pretty hard to take a picture that way with the car being so low. The next 2 are with the car in the air, on the lift so the suspension is expanded.Just to convey what's going on here and the time line. This has been a known problem since September, 18 2010.10/25/2009- contact CJ about prototypes11/09/2009-Check for full payment sent to CJ ($599.50)CJ sent various photos and updates throughout the build to all who had purchased.04/17/2010-I got the parts April 17- shipped to Aaron in Houston shortly after for install, etc. Could not install due to tune fiasco with IPD and had to have car drivable for testing.09/15/2010-Arms installed and problems arose when car was lowered from lift, Aaron tried to resolve- could not.09/18/2010-Contacted CJ with these photos.Pretty much from then on it's just been back and forth with no real solution, I reached out to others who have these arms and no one (I have found) has installed or tested.I'm not trying to slam CJ here but I need an answer- are we going to resolve this through fixing the arm, refund, or do I just need to forget about it and move on? Heck I think there are some people out there who have paid and are waiting on arms. My frustration is I am having similar problems with 2 very respected vendors in the Volvo community and my car continues to sit in Aarons care in Houston and I continue to pay insurance, registration, etc, etc month after month without being able to drive and enjoy my vehicle. I understand the modification process takes time but months on months on months of no answer just is not acceptable. I'm not a huge fan of a $600 paper weight but at this point I just need to know if something is going to be done or not so I can move forward. That's definitely more than a slight rub on the boot - you can see the contact down the length of the arm!Yeah, I don't want a $600 paperweight, either. No way I'm going to invest the labor in installing mine without more feedback from CJ on the status. I'd rather return them than waste the time. momof94850-tx
I'm not sure if it can be fixed...if it can't I'm not sure what CJ is willing to do but I do need an answer.I didn't see it in person, I'll ask his Aaron what he thoughts are on making them work. Any of those who purchased the arms please return them for a refund or credit toward another product. My apologies, what a nightmare.
