VOLVOPHILE
My SC-901 does not play burned CD's either and I also heard that we can't attach an iPod jack on specifically the 901.Back on some of the other subjects - I thought all R's were fully loaded and the only options I knew of were the roof rack and middle speaker. I do have the middle speaker and fortunately do not have the racks. Speaking of... Nick you should really remove those things. Everything else about your car is so slick. What other options were available, and Nick do you have an original accessory catalog?
JRL
You can't just plug one in but there are a couple of good units that when hooked up allow you to have an Ipod cable.(It plays out the 6 CD changer port)

In fact, my car came without them... and I searched high and low to find a nice set... had them painted the same color as my car. I was going to try polishing them, like the Audi Allroad, but decided against it due to cost.I don't have a catalog, but I scored this nifty package shelf with retractable cargo cover. I have yet to install it.

NEU
This one I just saw on VS last week and its kinda cool. All '99-'00 have "light my path" or something like that, which is when you turn off the car, pull out the key and flash the hi-beams the low-beams stay on for 30 sec. Enough time to walk up your driveway at night. Also if you have an older car this relay will work in your car too.And my 901 will play burnt cds too no issues. I also use my iPod with it too. USAspec (and others) makes a module that plugs into the 6 disc changer port and the iPod is controlled my the head unit. They have been around for while like 4 years. And I love that surround sound. I'm seriously going to be disappointed if it ever goes south.

I looked and the USAspec model goes for around $100....the Sony and JVC modules go for around $20...but the descriptions imply that they are only compatible with their respective companies' head units. Any reason to believe they would just work with the SC-901 anyways?
EVL WAGN
If anyone needs a 901....I'm bringing mine to Carlisle. Fly said once before that he wanted it, so if he doesn't...first 100 bones takes it home!
NEU
Any reason to believe they would just work with the SC-901 anyways? If you are using the sc-901 the ONLY USASpec you use is the PA11-HON. You'll also need to get the Volvo adaptor cable too. Or go get the Blitzsafe for the 901.
VOLVOPHILE
i just discover'd something about my R , a masssive oil leak! NOOO!Oh, here's something you may not have known about your R... There is no oil low indicator!!I had an oil leak in mine, I forget what the repair was but it only leaked when it was running. I shouldn't say leaked, it was more like blowing out of the engine. I noticed a few drops at work where I parked but didn't realize it was me. Then I saw oil in random places on my driveway. It wasn't till I noticed oil all over my back window. I checked the dip and it didn't even touch oil. I was probably near empty. Fortunately I use synthetic and caught it before some serious damage occurred. I check it regularly now.
