I bought a vacuum pump today and checked the purge valve. The side that goes to the canister doesn't hold vacuum, the other side does. I'm hoping this means this is the P0455 problem. My old purge value is a Bosch, PN 0 280 142 300, same as the Bosch valve sold on the FCP Groton website. I guess my next step is to buy the Bosch valve and try it. The old Bosch valve has been working for at least 10K miles or more, since I last had it to the dealer. I don't know how long ago the OEM Volvo valve was replaced, but it had to have been done by the dealer. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bay13 Posted July 30, 2005 Report Share Posted July 30, 2005 When you replace the valve, it's a good idea to put a filter in line with the line that goes to the canister, the volvo part number for the filter is 9186744.
