855T Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Sorry if this has been done before, but I'm curious to see the mileage everyone's been getting. If your brick has significant mods that affect mpg, please post below. Thanks!
matt1122 Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 18.5MPGChipped/Polished/Ported 1995 T-5RChip runs turbo at est. 18PSI
StickThatClutch Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 If I just commute I can get around 23/24mpg.If there is no traffic in SoCal (unlikely) I get 17/18mpg.BSR PPC but no changes between chipped and stock state in regards to MPG.
850R Sleeper Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 I have a 1996 854R, I usually get around 24mpg on average combined city and highway. On the highway, I usually get around 25-26, but I also need an alignment. My brother Gregg gets even better mileage, somewhere around 30mpg

Gregg Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 At 55mph I average about 32-34mpg and in city driving I probably average about 18-20mpg...Alot of my day to day driving is in the city or shorter trips of under 20miles roundtrip.Also:@65mph: ~28mpg@75mph: ~23mpg
Volvoson Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 99.9% city driving with a leadfootI average between 15-20 depending on how much stop and go driving, and short bursts of speed...Completely stock under the hood Worst gas mileage posted yet!
matt1122 Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 You guys with 55mph have a blessing in disguise. Driving 75+ on the highway for at least 2 hours a day hardly helps my gas mileage, I'm sure. (Usually around 85 actually, so that's probably where my problem lies.)
theunderlord Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 16-17 ish City... 235-340 miles per tank. 23-25 ish HWY... 400 miles per tank.
InlineTurbo Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 I get between 17-19 in the city and between 26-31 on the highway. It really depends on speed, # of passengers and the lead in my foot. I'm having a really hard time believing somebody has seen 34 MPG on the highway. Maybe for 1/4 mile or so downhill, but I've only seen 31 MPG when I was doing about a 60 mile trip on almost flad ground. Otherwise it is pretty close to 29 mpg highway with just 1-2 passengers.

Otherwise it is pretty close to 29 mpg highway with just 1-2 passengers.←I see 34mpg over the course of about 10-15 miles going to the next town; almost all flat road; just me in the car; tires at 40psi all around; and cruise control set to 52 or 53mph. You can ask my brother if you don't believe me, but my car gets really good gas mileage (after 120k mile service and my ECU upgrade).
Volvoson Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 I see 34mpg←I see 1/2 of that! Sickening... Hopefully once I get an ECU it will help my cars performance/economy.
WhiteT5 Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 With Melted shut PCV hard vacuum line, I was getting ~14 mpg. Since fixed, I see about 17.6-17.9 doing about 95% city driving.
slarti Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Last 2 times I've been only pump 10 gallons at each fill up. I used to get about 16-17 MPG with a full tank, but with only 10 gallons in the tanks Im getting 20 MPG. And I don't feel that I have changed my driving habits at all.Could be the weight
