455hp, thinking you need to upgrade... (pix of my new setup)

Well, after hearing the roar of a Gallardo up close I thought a Veyron might sound even nicer... only the catch if I would be able to listen to if for more then 3sec I needed more power... so I started drawing up some guidelines for bumping the power a bit.

After selling my custom parts that held the power back to 455hp I started to gather new parts which all can support up to 700hp.

The Racecooling IC had to go, and a new one was orderd. 4.5" thick and a volyme of 21liters

I'm not a fan of front mounted intercoolers close to the ground catching bagders... so I cut away some metal. The horn, hood locking mechanism and tempsensor had to move

The inlet manifold restricts the power to about 500hp, even if it's ported out and equipped with a 2.5" TBI. The only way was designing my own manifold. Calculations were made, a model were made up in CAD. 3" TBI should cut it. While at it I will make two manifolds, #2 will be out for sale

Twin Walbro GS392 inline pumps will provide the engine with racefuel (bio ethanol E85) through 140lb injectors.

The exhaust needed to be larger too... this is the beginning of a 3.5" DP and a 50mm HKS WG. Although it is a copy it has good quality, it is not one of the $100 ones

That's pretty much it for now, enjoy

Looking good there. If you dont mind my mumbling I'd like to add my opinion.Only for the greater good and not for the argument sake. Smile

The IC is sure big but arent you concerned about the airflow is being restricted by the inlet and the outlet as they are on 90degree?Guess no space on the sides.

I wouldnt bother with that intake manifold.Once you go big you should go bigger.Check out this setup.4 throttle body closer to the action, equal length inlet, faster response, you can fine adjust each cylinder as they are never equal,4 smaller is more than one big.. Smile

As I said only my 2cents.Good luck with the build.

thanks guys,

I've been thinking of sperate throttle bodies, but... there are so many huge things that need to fit under the hood.

all input are good, but I still have to be able to close the hood

here are i pic of the exhaust manifold too. not mine, but mine will look just like this one. This is a friends who went with a Hx35 turbo...

This is the prototype:

BTW, Ajden makes them for ~$500

The engine will ofcause use a turbocharger to help it breath. The turbo is orderd and payed for, just waiting for Deeds Performance to ship it out Smile (anyone got experience with Deeds?)

I choose a turbonetics GT-K 650, configured by my spec. Wet bearings and twinscroll. These thingys are clevery engineerd to get shorter spool time and less backpressure. Pretty much what can you expect for $1770 Wink

Hopefully I will have boost in the same range as my old Precision turbo.

Will you change cams?

I already changed cams... the ones I got now has so much lift that I had to mill away material from the head it self to allow them to turn without hitting the head before reaching the lifter.
