Is N/A ph2 head with mechanical lifters?

Yes 2000-> mech = good

Yeah! What about the valve size then? Diameter in / out?

All heads have the same size exhaustvalve, one of the N/A heads has larger 32mm inletvalves. A turbo engine has 30x7x104.10mm inletvalve and a tiny 27x7x103.30mm outlet valve. I upgraded to 33mm in and 30.5mm out on my head. The stock exhaustvalve is large enough for big power, but changing it to a larger size ofcause it flows better which means you can reduce the duration of the exhaust camshaft making the overlap/blow by minimal which is good for an all around engine. Remember that all of us still wants to use the engine in a car used on road and not for pure racing.

also remember the ph2 heads uses a 6mm shaft valve which makes it flow better and reduces weight...and durability...

stock ph2 springs are a joke. even if you know nothing about engines these are suprisingly soft. the ph1 springs are what you can expect a spring valve to be... my dual upgraded springs are HARD. I guess too hard for the 6mm shafts, so I came up with a softer dual spring setup sutable for my aluminum retainers and the ph2 head/vavle assembly.

one of the ph2 N/A heads has the larger 32mm valve (make a wild guess which one) and *the others have the 30mm valve.

*from what I know of.

Yes, I will come... Very Happy

What about compression ratio, any difference with that?

Will put Clarion 2 din HU with 6 disc MP3/WMA changer Smile, it's not a direct fit so I'll definitely have fiberglass job to do. And when messing with fiberglass, why not "put" the unit up as much as possible.

Btw. the unit is OEM Subaru Impreza MY08/09. Got it for a $70, been in the previous owner car for less than 2 weeks Smile.

I missed rotary controls and don't really need that big screen, so I sold Pioneer DVD unit.

hmm, yea I've gotten the Pioneer AVH p31000DVD for a present-xmas. And I plan on installing it once I get it. I thought about just restarting the dash and putting it in the center, but I'd have to rework the rest of it, and not sure I'm willing to do that. (My fiberglassing skills aren't up to par)

Post pics when you have it completed, I am really interested as to what she'll look like!
