In that case your hydro lifters now has increased travel, probably not good for high revs. Why do you have so retarded ignition (10 degrees only on 1.5 bar??), have you measured EGT? It's quite hot there I believe.. No not grinded, they are welded, so more stuff welded on them and base circle is still stock.Ignition is that low because it seems to make "knock" like sound in max torque rpm 5000rpm where there is 8 degree ignition. If i increase timing on there sound strongers. It very strange noise. On 6750rpm there is 10-11 degree ignition and no extra sounds. Could you send you ignition timing table to me? Just take a picture and uppit somewhere and place a link for me. Thanks.I have egt spot on manifold but no sensor yet. Planning of buing it. vulvas40t41568908561
1.5bar and more ignition timing on upper revs and clutch started slipping on 100-200km/h pull when changing gear but it get grip then again. It might be possible that dualmassflywheel just bottoms up and thas why clutch slipping or 225tkm driven stock clutch has now too much torque. 100-150 km/h: 3,7 s100-110 km/h: 0,7 s 21 m100-120 km/h: 1,4 s 42 m100-130 km/h: 2,1 s 67 m100-140 km/h: 2,9 s 96 m100-150 km/h: 3,7 s 129 mPeak: 153 km/h100-200 km/h: 10,2 s100-110 km/h: 0,9 s 25 m100-120 km/h: 1,4 s 42 m100-130 km/h: 2,1 s 66 m100-140 km/h: 2,8 s 95 m100-150 km/h: 3,9 s 137 m100-160 km/h: 5,2 s 192 m100-170 km/h: 6,2 s 240 m100-180 km/h: 7,3 s 294 m100-190 km/h: 8,6 s 360 m100-200 km/h: 10,2 s 446 mPeak: 209 km/hMight be time to place that 850r clutch kit. vulvas40t41568908561
Old setup is sold and goal 350hp was reached with 1.5bar boost with masterpower turbo. New setup and engine build has started. So I bought B4194T2 -00 engine from Sweden bone stock and driven 160tkm(100000miles). Engine was in great condition and prize was right. Also i bought JE pistons directly from JE USA (81.5mm bore) and Motornord H-profil rods. Camshafts from Autotech with 11.4mm lift in intake cam and 10.6mm in exhaust cam and 260degrees in both cams. From Torpis i bought stiffer valve springs and aluminum retainers so i can rev 9000rpm with this mechanical lifters top.Quaife differential lock was also bought so that both tires will spin. New turbo is Holset HX35 54/60mm 12# divided turbine with v-band downpipe. My friend is making new exhaust manifolt and new external wastegate is Tial MVS 38mm.New injectors are Bosch EV14 1000cc 3bar and enginemanagement is upgraded from Civinco SA500 to -> SA1000.Adjustable camgears where bought from Tommis Billett Finland and + - 15 degrees adjustment range in both sides. Double of original ones.Goal is to make strong engine which can handle 450hp power with estimated 2.0bar boost. Here is some pictures. wa666ou
Hello!Nice setup.I'm going with the same turbo route.Still making research.1. So you are keeping ph1 head? Why don't you go w/ ph2 top?Are you planning or have you already done porting on the head?2. What's the price for piston + conrods?3. Camshafts price?4. What's the price for camgears? And how can one buy them?I'm still lurking around at X40nordic. There are some pretty good stuff on sale.Cheers!Risto

My old engine is phase 1 b4194t. Only basic cleaning and reconditioning will be maid for this 1.5 head and no porting or bigger valves. Also this new engine will be fully reconditioned with original volvo parts. 2. Rods and pistons was about 1000euros but this was special prize.3. Cams are bought from mikkeki who bought them from autotech and prize was about 1200euros when new.4. 300euros is prize of these cam gears and they can ship also cam gears for you. Send email to them in english and ask volvo cam gears. http://www.tommisbillet.com/contacts/index.htmlAlso i will be using sachs 707 pressure plate with 850r clutch and flywheel. 100-200km/h best time with 18T mitsu was 13.0s(280hp) and with masterpower 10.0s(350hp) and now with holset goal is 8.0s(450hp).Lets see what happens... Ol' Dirty Noodle
Hey dude glad to see you just keep evolving this thing rather than moving on, never looked at the cabin pics before until today, tell me you have a linear graph style gauge boost meter on the steering wheel, that thing is sick i've only seen those in old all-electric clusters on some old fords and chevys very unique bro, also take a look over at driftworks.com and see Andy Ps build, he doesn't really post much over here anymore, its gonna be a rwd s40, saab motor, cosworth jag gearbox, evo drivetrain, thing is rediculous

I'm over 450HP with stock engine (but I'll rebuild it with forged internals just to be safe for a longer period), cheap n/a cams, no special cam gears, no special valve lifter springs (actually I'm reving 8k with hydro lifters on a daily biasis over a year or more, no problem). And, at the end, my car pulls 100-200 km/h in less than 8 seconds (GPS), 12,76 sec at 1/4 mile etc.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl4URM2rA6gHowever, if you build your engine that way, you'll have an excellent base for another 100 or 200 HP with a larger turbo, but in reality, do you really need 600HP on a fwd car ? vulvas40t41568908561
xcites: no extra turboshield left. Its custom made.Tcode: Yes i know you have +400hp with stock engine but my point was now to do engine which can in future handle more power if still wanted. Similar setup can handle like you sayd 600hp with only turbo swap and couple other things. So now extra safe with forged parts and low power. Also this hx35 turbo is good for daily driven car because it will spool fully in 4000-4500rpm which is okay and similar like gt3071. When going in 500-600hp range hx40super is the choice and spool whould be about 1000rpm later about 5500rpm which is little bit too slow for my taste in this point. So now tiny turbo only.
