I ask as I'm currently debating turbo choice myself Edit: What about hx40 with smaller turbine housing?Tcode has N/A intake cam and stock T4 exhaust cam.Hx35 is fast spooling and great for maximum 500hp and also prize is cheap about 700euros. Comperssor size is the main point with turbine a/r what effects spool so hx40 is late spooling even with small turbine. Also small turbines are not good for high rpm n/a like power with flat torque and nice power. So i dont like to mix small turbines with big compressors. So Hx35 was best match for me. Here is compressor chart for my hx35super turbo and my turbo is with bigger turbine side than in this picture 8#->12# and exhaust side is also bigger 55mm->60mm. Yes 2.0bar should be about 4500rpm with hx35. Hx35 is also bigger turbo than gt3071. Compare compressor maps. About 10lbs more juice in hx35 than gt3071... But you'll sacrifice almost 1000 rpm in a midrange, meaning your car won't be very nice as a daily driver. Also, my car spinning both wheels at 200 km/h at the wet road. What will your do with 100+ HP more, flying ?

Also normal driving is still okay even with N/A power and i have no need to accelerate with 5.gear in slow speeds. I think that hx35 is best compromise for me.
