theForgottenone
Must have cost major $$$$ for that intake manifold.
cs40racing
Looks like it's off a different car as he needs to modify the flange... What kind of car is it for originally?

Edelbrock provides also Performer X intake manifold with longer runners and smaller plenum. As far as I am concerned Performer X was used in Swedish X40 record engine. The runners are so damn long in Performer X, and I've got no clue how to fit that under the hood. In order to make this fit the flange must be grinded heavily from the right side. As you can see from the picture I've posted , the intake manifold flange goes beyond the cylinder head. Also three extra holes should be drilled. The intake gasket is a great help here. And finally some welding to add to extra material on two occasions to get all the bolts fastened properly. Remember, I've got ph2 N/a head, which intake flange differs from the turbo one... For sure the intake manifold can be fitted by changing the flange from the stock intake manifold, like in this X40 engine (this intake manifold is Performer X):The manifold is currently under welders shop. I'll post some pictures when I get it back.
Danilis
Great Project.!! GoodLuckSute wrote on Tue, 09 March 2010 08:54Remember, I've got ph2 N/a head, which intake flange differs from the turbo one... May i ask you, the turbo manifold, is it the same with N/A manifold? And can the turbo manif. be installed on N/A head?? Am asking as i have a N/A head (b4204s2) to use in the future, probably with my stock (b4294t2) manifold. Keep uploading.. we love photos..!! The N/A intake manifold looks the same as in turbo engine, but the flange is different as well as the injector nozzle attachment + some other minor differencies. The plenum in N/A intake manifold seems to have more volume than the turbo one, but this is not for sure -> more potential in N/A intake..? As regars for easy installment, N/A intake to N/A head and turbo intake to turbo head...

tcode1568908558
So basically, if I want to use n/a head from a B4024S2 engine I should use the intake manifold from that engine too, aside from making "new" intake manifold?

Sute1568908560
Did some coating job to the exhaust housing. These coatings should reduce part temperature and heat reflection. Undearneath Techline Q-coat:..and to the top Techline Black Satin:
Sute1568908560
Yeah, exhaust housing blanket arrived. One way to reduce temparature under the hood.. ..and the intake manifold arrived from welder. I gotta do some intensive work during the easter to finish it. Pictures will follow later. Now almost every part is together, only exhaust manifold is still waiting for coating, then the engine will be pulled out once more and performance parts will be installed...
