Sute, you have very high powered S40 now. Are you still running stock M56 gearbox and Quaife LSD?

How is it holding on?

And have you had any issues with driveshafts?

There's this guy in Estonia who's building C70 and he's also using M56 and Gripper LSD. That LSD has broken now. Then he used stock differential and the same story.

I´ve got M56L or L2 with Quaife. Never had any problems with those, they seem to be only durable thing in this combo.

Maybe that guy have some sort of misalignment or something. M56 has been driven with 1000 horses without problems. Flywheel is the first thing to worry especially if there is grip available.

I was driving in 1 mile event a few weeks ago. Managed to destroy compressor wheel a bit on the first test run, but despite that and low 1,8 - 1,9 bar boost, the final speed was 293 kph. The purpose was to raise the boost to 2,5bar on the second run, but luckily the boost pipe blew off and I did not destroy turbo any more.

Hear the whining sound when sifting to 4th gear:

Some object entered into compressor causing bent compressor wings. I suspect it was a part of air filter or some plastic thing since there was melted plastic type stuff in intercooler.

Turbo will be repaired soon and the engine will be torne down since there is too much blow by past the pistons causing high crankcase pressure. In that pull the engine spit out almost half a litre of oil and app desilitre of ethanol. Hopefully back on track on September 1 mile event.

A bit driving for a while. Did few quarter mile runs, resulting 205,5 and 205,4 kph for trap speeds. "Track" was an old airfield whit shitty and slippery tarmac. Rather good trap speed though in that respect . As regars the ET, nothing special really to tell. Maybe on next weekend on a better surface ending up with better ET times.
