850drag
they would run around $150 to $200, this would replace all the engine mounts.
Zappo
Would this cause more vibration and /or noise? (unwanted noise of course)
850drag
no
WhiteT5
Vibration, yes. Noise, no. It would just stiffen the mounts making the engine less prone to moving, meaning slightly better handling and maybe a tiny more power to the wheels. This is why I am trying to see if people want them. if I get enough people interested then maybe I can get it going, the price might even got furthur down if i can get enough people. It will help your overall life of the car. really help tyhe people who are putting high torque #'s down.
WhiteT5
I might be interested depending on when they'd be coming out and my financial situation at the time.

850drag
first off the only way these are going to go into production is if I can get enough people interested. To be exact at least 1000 orders. Since these engine mounts take alot to make the company who will make them only makes large quantities. SO if I can get that many peopel interested for sure then I can probably do it.

There's no way in hell you're going to get a 1000 people to sign up for these. It's hard enough to get 20 people to sign up for something like an intercooler. The other 8500 or so are people who just signed up to ask why their ABS light keeps coming on. You say just $150, but half the active members here are bang bling kids working part time jobs, going to school, etc. They don't commit easily to $150 purchases. Not to mention they have the same sense as the rest of us: Why would we commit to buy this unproven, untested, pipe-dream, for which there isn't even a prototype, when there are plenty of other readily available alternatives? It's laughable.

Your looking at $500-$1000 to change all engine mounts, which will not last as long as poly ones. So for $150 why not! I'd give it a shot and it'll probably save me money in the long run...since I am a studentBut yeah 1000 people that's tough
Guest Guest
I had poly mounts on a VW 16v, and although they did last, vibrations were much much worse. Something to think about, seeing as many of us still drive our cars as daily commuters, rather than track cars.
