Covid 19

I wouldn't go that far.

I'm a fairly in shape guy.  Gut, but I exercise regularly.

I'm not so much worried about dying as I am about permanent lung damage/Heart.  I also see my inlaws pretty often and I'd hate to be the one that gave it to them.

exactly the way i see it

i can work from home, so i am...

my wifes side business is doing well enough that we decided on another year of her staying at home with our now 1.5 year old and not putting him in a day care and her not going back to teaching

basically 1 salary again for another year but we both have high risk immediate family members and daycares and schools are the last place I want my wife or son in

i dont go anywhere and im fine with that - this house im renovating will just get done faster

I work as a server for a steakhouse and we have to work around people eating without masks daily. We all are slightly worried about it but we like to make money and have purpose in life. I try to limit seeing what family I have left in my life and it makes me seem like the asshole for wanting to stay away for their safety. Other countries are beginning their 2nd wave of the virus and its starting to get bad again in some places of the world. If you compare numbers of cases vs. the number of deaths due to covid and the numbers we have in the US, we are on track for a very bad second wave of this. My boss at work told me his mother died from covid a month ago. No pre existing conditions, no warning, just ventilator and then death.

It's really easy to say "no one around me has even got it." and then ignore it. There are videos of people who thought the same thing and then when they got the virus they were just scared for their wife. They curse them selves for not taking it seriously.

It has been proven the government will lie to us if it means having enough masks for hospital workers. they lied to have enough masks saying "don't ware a mask". people saw that and now they think its a hoax. The thing is if the government is so worried about the covid that they lie to us. how bad is this thing?

Do what your gut tells you to do man, my gut tells me to limit seeing my loved ones for awhile. If people get too close in public I tell them to back off. It has got me into a few problems with people in public. One lady was passive aggressive about it and tried to side swipe my car on the road in her POS Kia. Another guy just wanted a fight but I held my temper. People are VERY on edge right now and some have lost homes, cars, family members. We have to remember this in public situations.

I can't think of anyone I know personally who has had it. I always wear a mask outside.

I work in Chick Fil A's all around the country and still haven't had it. (knock on wood) Been tested a few times. I even wear my mask when working outside mounting wifi antennas, digital menu boards and cameras by myself.

I'm not too worried about it personally. Just trying to do my part to not give it to anyone else.

damn - never knew that was what you did... i knew you traveled a lot tho

I have friends all over the place on this... some that refuse to wear masks even in stores and make a big stink and some that wont even come over to my house to have socially distanced drinks in the driveway. just to add to what I said earlier... im nervous. i dont want to get sick. i never get sick. i go years without getting a basic cold. im healthy, but the underlying heart and lung issues some people get after the fact are fucking scary. i want things back to normal too... but unlike most amongst my millennial brethren i know it take a little work and discipline to get back to normal here... it seems my age bracket is really messing things up lately regarding covid with the highest transmission rates etc. (20-30 years old) and i know exactly why... they got their photos on ig of their masks and they are just tired of it now, they dont want to do this anymore, and mom and dad cant fix this problem for them... they cant go on their vanity trips, they didnt save any money these past 10 years from getting out of school, the list goes on. Did i ever say i hate my generation? GET THE FUCK OFF OF MY LAWN TOO.
