I also am looking for a Euro buddy who can get me an AWD XC60 or XC70 M66 transmission, and send me the Final drive and pinion shaft. Shipping the entire case over here is unreasonable. ChristiaanW200 Posted March 30, 2021 Report Share Posted March 30, 2021 No. There is a break around 2000/2002 where spline increases to 23spl. All m66 has that. Why not use gears from a diesel m66? lookforjoe Posted June 1, 2021 Report Share Posted June 1, 2021 You realize the design of the two transaxles differs greatly? Not even sure they were made by the same manufacturer, as the M66 fell under Ford purview. M66 doesn't use brass synchros , and the gear cluster design is very different than M56.
