Can i use a 2004.5 + T5 b5254t3 auto ecu and modules to run the same year model manual car without having the ecu reprogrammed

Hi everyone thanks in advance for any help.

As the title says . Can i use a 2004.5 + auto ecu and modules to run the same year model S40 ,C30 or v50 without getting the ecu reprogrammed for the manual box. I'm having immobiliser issues due to faulty modules and I'm looking for a cheaper fix than going to the Volvo money pit dealer as. It's seeming to be quiet hard to find the ecu kit for a T5 m66 car

Are you trying to hot swap modules out of another car? If so that is not possible without swapping EVERY module out of the donor car.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I need to do this anyway with my S40 long story short i wrote off my S40 t5 6 spd manual didn't know about the vin coding an jumped bthe gun and bought a S40 2.4 auto thinking swap the front end pedal box ecu and cem sweet thej found out otherwise . I swapped engine bay loom the dash loom and all the modules after finding out I had to but didn't bother changing the body loom being nieve thinking how different could it be well theyre very different and I think something got fried and f*** the whole show so now I'm after a full ECU and modulle kit because it don't start. Font even crank over and i want to avoid the Volvo dealers if possible . Problem is finding a six-speed car wrecking us not easy it would be easier finding rocking horse stuff so I'm wondering if I use a Auto ECU and all modules will it run with the manual gearbox, I had a r32 Nissan Skyline that run a Auto ecu in a manual and had no dramas with that

In a word, No. Most of the control units are married to the vehicle once programmed so you can't just hot swap one. If you truly want to pull from a donor vehicle you'll need to pull ALL the modules from a T5 manual.
