am02857 Posted August 6, 2021 Report Share Posted August 6, 2021 Hi all, I have recently bought a late 2014 xc60 (d4, awd, ocean race). I wanted to update the european map. I followed the procedure (format usb fat32, 32gb, downloaded directly to usb, verified download). When i put the usb in car, it showed the notification on map update. Pressed OK and it started to update. As i have read around that it is not a problem to switch off the car as the update will resume once the car is turned on after 30-40 min driving, i stopped. When I turned on the car again, the update didnt resume and the navigator is stuck at "navigation starting up". It doesnt take any command or anything. I downloaded the maps once again on another usb stick and when I plug it it, it shows a notification "maps are updated" pres exit to close but still navigation wont start. I tried to reset through the menu to factory setting but nothing changed. I disconnected last night the negative wire from the battery but still have the same issue (nothing has been reset).
