Get both. If you get jewels, HIDs look great on them. I have a pic lying around of my HIDs (5400K I think) with the black jewels. PM me and I'll send it to you (too lazy to upload it). Looks nice. :)

I have both, but then you already know that Grant. Jewels reduce the glare issue associated with HIDs.

Get both, but get HIDs first.

The only thing is that the jewels are H1 (or at least mine were), and the stockers are 9006. I'm not sure if the later model jewels are 9006 as well.

I am pretty sure all Jewels are H1.

If anyone has used PIAA Etremes, they are excellent .

I've been using them for 3 years now and the output is great for stock headlights.

All 850 Jewels use the H1 bulb. S70 use H7 I believe.

Carson, you thinking darkened jewels for the new car? If you don't like the LEDs in the middle, they can be removed. That center section that holds them just snaps in, so you could just unplug the wires and pop it out. When I was repairing mine, I had it in and out many times. All you would need to do is to fab up a cover so you don't see the holes where it attaches.
