pinky
I have an older version of this motor on my "whole house fan" (what most people call an attic fan). The fan started to have a little rattle so I crawled up into attic and found a loose set screw on fan blade assembly. The fan ended up being quieter than ever. So Now I started noticing the slight squeak in belt and the rattle of some of the louvers and who knows what else. I have no started to look into all parts to service. Ordered a new belt. Noticed it says to lube with motor oil, so I guess I will look for oil port/s. Anyway onto my electric question. As it sits now I only have an on/off switch. I ordered a Master flow 2 speed fan control switch BWS2 without thinking. Now that it is here I looked up how to wire it. Seems you need a fan set up for 2 speeds. Well I have no idea if this motor can or is a 2 speed motor?????
