V Tuning 850
So as you might or may not know, I am getting some Scan Tech's from FCP Groton. Now I am choice the DOT version or the E-Code version.I am heading towards the E-Codes. Anyone have any reason to make me change my mind about this?I will be buying the turn signals as well. V Tuning 850
Ok so I just ordered the Scan Tech E-Code headlamp lenses, and turn signal lenses from FCP Groton. So the question is, how hard of an install is this? I think someone said 30 minutes per side. What tools would I need as well?
V Tuning 850
No one has any info on this? I mean is it the same in the Modifications section?
Zappo
Corners are 30 seconds each. The headlight lenses depends on how you do it. You can leave the headlight units in the car and remove the covers under the headlight wipers. That allows you access to all the clips. Just a screwdriver to pry off the clips. Very easy.To put them back on they just snap in place.
BtownVolvo
Fun!!! So you DON'T need the whole E-Code housing, just the lenses?
BtownVolvo
What are the differences between the E-Code and just plain lenses? Pics anyone?

BtownVolvo
For the 850,E-Code:Regular US DOT:←Hmm...looks like there's less diffusion with the E-Code lens. Is it worth the money?
Deltablade
I think Rob said that they are the same price as the American lenses from FCP Groton. Was it 65 a piece? Yeah, there is less diffusion and IMO, looks a lot cooler.
V Tuning 850
Yeah the headlamp lenses were the same price. $65 per lens for the DOT and the E-Code.The turn singals were $10 more a peice between the DOT and E-Code's.
turbobrick
i believe ecodes angle the opposite way... meaning they would point to the left of the road instead of the righti could be mistaken though
BtownVolvo
That would be bad...although that would explain the *Offroad use only* thing.
