Brickster151
He said the same stuff he always says, except he thought he'd be cool and do it in front of Fort Bragg to try and regain dwindling support for the war. kenhoeve
the continuing and evolving line of crap that comes out of his mouth boggles the mind.it's weapons, no it's a tyrant, no it's democracy, no it's security, no it's the center of the terrorist war(give me a friggin center of the war break).people will believe ANYTHING.it's a war. that's all it is and all they wanted. specifically one that has no boundaries and no end. Plan_B
Very well put Ken.I just talked to my parent's, who actaully voted for him, and there take on his speech was the same as what you said.I have a bad feeling that this 'war' is not going to end for a very long time. And as much as I am sure Bush does want it to end, we can't just leave. And what's this I hear today that 17 Navy Seals where killed today........... It just sucks. We could sustain less troop loss, but the american public would not tolerate the cost it would come at.

BtownVolvo
Ok, not that I like ALL of his opinions, do you think that Kerry could have done better? I think that Bush is just playing the cards he was dealt and Kerry would be doing the same thing. And I can't believe we are still arguing about this whole Democrat/Republican party gig AFTER the election. Its over with! Its okay to disagree with some decisions, but in the long run, we all need to unify so we don't turn into a friggin' Anarchy. I'm sure that the president (even if it was kerry) thinks of all possible solutions and chooses the most logical. wouldn't u?jus' my .02 :D Edited July 1, 2005 by BtownVolvo
Plan_B
I'm not arguing, YOUR the one who said to agree with Bush or move, that was dumb. ( I say alot of dumb things, so i forgive you.)I have no idea if Kerry would have done better, but this war would proably NOT be happening if Kerry was elected.Bush to me is just a big dipshit who talks like an redneck inbreed.I am just very thankful that we only have two more years of his endless BS.OPRAH '08! :D

If you are going to start a war, particualrly a war based on a pack of lies, get it over with. now they are stuck between rocks, if they send in more troops they look stupid and loose the mid term and next presidential election, if they pull us out the u.s. is scum in the eyes of the world (yes it matters) and the we loose the oil to france or whoever ands the whole region sinks further into violent zealotry. the Powel doctrine was a good one (know what you are doing and send overwhelming force). The neo con doctrine (rose colered glasses and macho press conferances and a primary focus on holding office as the organizing idea) is a failure. The worst part, of course, is the protracted human suffering going on because of political fear. chicken hawks is a good term for these clowns. Kerry's position was to send MORE troops in. He was right, and if he would have been elected and had ther courage to run a miltary war instead of a political war, he might have succeded before getting shown the door. This is the republicans mess, but i I hope mc cain or someone of either party with respect for the troops and the iraqi civiclians lives gets elected next. ATI_RAGE_
I've always considered myself as a Republican, and voted for Bush, because I didn't like the alternative. At anyrate, I heard it as I was going to work I didn't really find that he hit on anything that I wanted to hear. Yeah their is some good happening but alot more bad and back steps. When you have 1000 Marines and only 100 Iraqi's supporting them in operations that is not a good sign. The Iraqi's frankly cannot repel an attack nor can they defend their own country. I don't support the war, the reason for the war but I support the troops, as I have several people that I know currently serving. We are losing our boys and girls to very primitave weapons hence we will not be able to stop the attacks. Simply said we are not getting in touch with the reality on the ground. We have enough people to clear out a place, but not to hold it, we basically run in and band aid the situation then pull out and fix another hot spot and return at a later date.
